I am happy to share that I had to opportunity to join Raleigh's high school talents onstage at the DPAC again this year for the 2017 Triangle Rising Star Awards.

This was my second time competing in the TRS awards, which is the Raleigh-Durham regional competition before the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Like last year, I was blown away by the group of high schoolers I worked with. Everybody was so kind, talented, and humble. Even though our days spent together are busy, I had the chance to connect with every contestant and creates lasting friendships.

The staff that puts together the awards and competition are so dedicated and supportive of each of our budding careers. I am so appreciative for the endless months of planning that they devout to planning our experience.

As I am a senior in high school, this was my last chance to participate in TRS. I cannot thank Ravenscroft, DPAC, and my family and friends for there unwavering support. Millie was the role of a lifetime, and reprising the role gave me one last shot to do Sutton Foster proud. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Best of luck to my dear friend Nicholas and Kailee as they travel to New York to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards! I know you will blow them away!
