What a blast! I just finished my first experience with the Triangle Rising Star Awards. The Triangle Rising Star Awards, also known as TRS, is apart of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards system.

I had the chance to work with many other talented high schoolers from the Raleigh-Durham area for a little less than a week. Over that time we auditioned for a panel of judges, assembled group numbers, and had the chance to see a sneak peek of the performances each contestant was competing with.

I am very thankful to have represented my high school, Ravenscroft School, and our production of Once Upon A Mattress. Winnifred was such a wild role to play in the fall, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to reprise her on the Durham Performing Arts Center stage.
